About hand made pottery

All work is made to order. It takes time for me to make enough work to fill up a kiln, so please allow 4-8 weeks for making and delivery. Because each piece is made by hand, not two items are identical. Sisters rather than twins. While I do my best to make each bowl and cup the same size, shape, and color, there will be some variation from piece to piece. These variations are not flaws.

If you are adding to a collection, there is a chance that new work will differ slightly from older work. To mitigate this, email me with an image of the pieces you are trying to match and I will do my best. Each firing and each batch of colored slip and glaze is a little different, and therefore colors may not be identical. I cannot guarantee exact matches.

I will not accept requests to re-create another artist's work, and cannot make work that looks very different from my current collection. I will occasionally accept special orders of pots not listed in my shop. If you see something at a show or in an old photograph, but it isn’t in my current portfolio I can probably make it for you. Email me.

Caring for your pottery

All work is food safe, and can go in the microwave and dishwasher.

The unglazed exterior of your pots might pick up stains and scratches over time. Sometimes these come out with a good scrubbing. Bartenders Best Friend is a great cleaning product that can help with some tough ones. However, some marks may be permanent.

Pottery breaks if you treat it roughly. While I endeavor to make pieces that will last a lifetime, pots will chip, crack, or break if they suddenly encounter a hard surface.

If you send your pottery through the mail, please google “packing pottery for shipment” to make sure it arrives safely. Many layers of packing should be used to ensure safe travel. If you are ordering pottery from me as a gift to a third party, I am happy to ship directly to them and make packing as attractive as possible.

Return & Exchange Policy

If you open an un-damaged box to find broken pottery, please email within 1 week of receipt with a picture and I will replace your broken pieces as soon as possible with no additional charge. Replacing your work will take time; assume 6-8 weeks. If you'd rather not wait for a replacement piece, I'm happy to refund you the cost of the broken piece, but cannot refund the cost of shipping if that was not the only piece in the order.

If you don't like your piece, you may return the piece(s) and I will refund the cost of the pottery but not shipping. This excludes custom or personalized orders. Work must arrive undamaged within 30 days of your initial shipment, and I will issue a refund through your original payment method at that time.I do not offer any warranty.

If your piece is damaged through use, I cannot offer any kind of refund.

Wholesale Inquiries

I'm always interested in finding new shops and galleries to partner with! If you'd like to cary my work, please email me with a description of your shop/gallery and a link to any online presence. I'll send you my current line sheet and details about my wholesale policies. Current minimum order is $250, you pay shipping, and I ask for a 50% deposit up front. Your work will be made to order and will take 6-8 weeks to arrive.
